Walter van Kuijen brings over 30 years of deep industry and sector experience in private and public healthcare, obtained through numerous executive and directorate positions at Philips, i.e. CEO EMEA at Philips Healthcare, CEO Home Monitoring based in Massachusetts (USA), to Senior Vice President at Royal Philips Amsterdam. Since 2019, Walter dedicates significant time to advising and coaching entrepreneurs and impact ventures in the HealthTech domain. As such, he is currently active as Chief Commercial Officer at Thirona, and Strategic Advisor to smartQare.
With over 30 years of expertise in entrepreneurship, strategic decision-making, and large-scale digital transformation, Jeroen is a well-recognised innovation leader and industry expert in the global Information Technology domain. Most recently, Jeroen was Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at Phillips, where he led numerous strategic innovation projects, from healthy living and prevention to precision diagnosis, right-fit treatment, and care at home. Prior to joining Phillips, he co-founded and built Mphasis to become a leading $1B+ provider of IT and IT-enabled solutions. Jeroen started his career at Citi, where he delivered the world’s first Internet banking and payment network solutions. Besides numerous board member and senior advisor positions, Jeroen is currently an active participant in societal initiatives from organizations like i.e. the World Economic Forum and GAIA, where he advises and regularly communicates on innovation and sustainability.
The team of industry experts recently visited CES in Las Vegas and the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, where they exchanged relevant industry insights with numerous pioneers and key decision-makers in the Healthcare industry – confirming that despite the subdued investment climate, there is tremendous momentum in digital health solutions.
