IMPROVED welcomes Energy Transition and Emobility expert Lex Hartman to its team of Associate Partners

Lex Hartman is a seasoned expert in Energy Transition and Emobility, and will support IMPROVED and its clients on strategic, M&A and growth financing advisory within the Energy Transition and E-Mobility domains. With Lex Hartman on its team of Associate Partners, IMPROVED further expands its position as the corporate finance advisor of choice for entrepreneurs, corporates and investors in the Technology, Energy, and Mobility sectors. Partially based in Berlin, Lex will expand IMPROVED’s reach in Germany.
Lex Hartman has over 25 years of executive management experience in various corporate and scale-up, regulated, and commercial companies in the Energy and (Emobility) Infrastructure domain. Lex led numerous large infrastructure projects, like BritNed and Nordlink, and worked on multiple M&A transactions in his roles as CEO at TenneT Germany, Board member at TenneT holding, and CEO at ubitricity GmbH (part of the Shell Group). Lex is well-connected and well-known in the Energy industry and has an extensive network of industry leaders, both in politics and business.
Until January 2022, Lex serves as CEO of Shell ubitricity Gmbh in Berlin and London. During his time at the ubitricity, Lex has in a short time transformed this company into a leading charge point operator and sold it to Shell. Prior to his CEO role at ubitiricty, Lex worked at the Dutch-German transmission system operator TenneT for 20 years, where he held numerous executive positions. Lex was a member of the Executive Board of TenneT Holding BV from 2008 on. In 2010 he became the Managing Director of the German subsidiary TenneT TSO GmbH. Currently, Lex is an investor and advisor and advisory board member to multiple companies in the Energy Transition and E-Mobility domain.
In addition to his professional activities, Lex frequently gives keynotes and motivational lectures for executives. Lex is passionate about technology, with a key focus on disruptive technological developments and their impact on society.
