EnergyHub, a leading provider of grid-edge flexibility solutions and an independent subsidiary of Alarm.com (NASDAQ: ALRM), has acquired Bridge to Renewables (“BTR”), the leading provider of EV telematics solutions used by EV OEMs.
EnergyHub provides Virtual Power Plant (VPP) technology to over 80 North American utilities, managing more than 120 programs that integrate EVs, connected thermostats, batteries, and other flexible devices. BTR works with 12 EV manufacturers to enable more than 500,000 connected vehicles to participate in low-carbon fuel standards and managed charging programs, via a suite of embeddable in-app experiences that sit directly within OEM mobile environments.
The acquisition expands EnergyHub’s direct OEM relationships and brings foundational vehicle integrations into its cross DER VPP ecosystem, accelerating utility-managed charging programs, streamlining OEM access to new revenue streams, and delivering more engaging enrolment journeys for EV drivers across North America.
The transaction delivered a compelling outcome for BTR’s founders and shareholders, recognizing the company’s market leadership and the strategic value of its OEM relationships and connected vehicle platform.
