Walter is an Associate Partner at IMPROVED.

Walter advises the firm’s clients and partners on operational, technical and strategic aspects in HealthTech transactions.

He brings over 30 years of deep industry and sector experience in private and public healthcare.

Walter has held numerous executive and directorate positions at Philips, i.e. CEO EMEA at Philips Healthcare, CEO Home Monitoring based in Massachusetts (USA),  to Senior Vice President at Royal Philips Amsterdam. Since 2019, Walter dedicates significant time to advising and coaching entrepreneurs and impact ventures in the Healthcare Tech domain. As such, he is currently active as Chief Commercial Officer at Thirona, and Strategic Advisor to smartQare.

Walter works closely with our clients across the Healthcare Tech domains, offering them unique insights and access to his extensive international network across the domain.

He holds an MSc in Applied Nuclear Physics, an MBA from TSM Business School, and numerous Executive Program certificates from Erasmus University, IMD, INSEAD and Harvard University.
