Carl-Peter advises IMPROVED’s clients and partners on the Automotive and Mobility sectors, leveraging his 35+ years of experience in the Automotive and Mobility sector globally.

Carl-Peter commenced his Automotive career with BMW, where he held various leadership positions before becoming Managing Director of BMW for South Africa and a Board member of the BMW Group, overseeing development projects of all BMW vehicles. In 2001, Carl-Peter was appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Adam Opel AG. In 2004, he became President of General Motors in Europe, where he was responsible for the Tata, Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

Following General Motors Europe, Carl-Peter joined the Board of Geely Automotive Holdings and the Board of Volvo Cars Corporation until early 2019.

Today, Carl-Peters sits as a Non-Executive Director at Babcock International Group, The Mobility House, Gordon Murray Design and IMI. He is also the Chairman at Chemring, KINEXON and HELLA.

Carl Peter brings his 35+ years in the automotive and mobility sectors to bear with clients by helping them gain access to his extensive international network.

Carl-Peter has a Degree in Economics from Bonn University and a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from Technical University in Munich.
